However, it is significant to me because it reminds me that God is the source of true joy. Whenever I listen to the song, the words and melody release tranquility within me; it’s a song that all Christians should embrace and reflect on. His miraculous works and creation is what brings people security and comfort, and this song implies God’s preternatural wonders. Isaac Watts did base this song from Psalms 98, and during Christmas time, most people hear this song, but many rarely know the true meaning behind it. It should bring triumph to the hearts of any individual, either a believer or not, this song has the capability to lead some one to Christ. So that in the end, all humanity can praise His name when He returns.
