"A Modest Proposal Response"

In Jonathan Swift’s writing, he aimed directing toward the children in Ireland. He knew that children needed to be fed and nourished, and pondered on the ways towards his goal of feeding them. I believe that he did have a heart for children, but some of his ideas were questionable. Such as the meat markets, and children working at a young age. I also didn’t like the way he suggested that the children should be priced according to their weight. Also the fact that he implied the act of eating children, which is quite disgusting. I also wonder why he specifically targeted at the meat industry. Mainly to help the poor, but actually he was open in helping all aspects of his country from infants, wealthy, poor, and the economy. He truly had a sincere and caring heart towards humanity, but some of his thoughts are vile and ironic.
