It was a dark and chilly Friday night, but that didn’t stop Ally’s excitement. It was the night of the high school’s Carnival Fair, which was made for the celebration of the New Year. Her school was known as one of the top Christian schools in Illinois. Ally and her friends all hopped in her car and drove off to the Fair. With the radio blasting, everyone’s adrenaline was pumping because they promised each other that this night would be extraordinary. The games, rides, and booths were all set out and the decorations were appealing to all. The four girls bought their tickets and rode their favorite rides. However, that wasn’t satisfying enough for them. As the night turned into midnight, the clouds came and there was a storm. The girls didn’t let that ruin their night. Since the rain was horrifying and the winds were strong, these insane girls decided to pull pranks on their neighbors. To double the “fun” these girls decided to drink a large amount of alcohol as well. At this point, none of the girls were in the correct mindset of safety and had all forgotten about their curfew. The rain and winds soon began to die down and there was nothing but a dark cloudy sky. Their first prank was dangerous; they all managed to gather their left over fireworks from Ally’s car and placed some in front of the houses. The stubbornness soon kicked in from the alcohol, and they lit up the fireworks with the match. Two of the fireworks died out, but the third one caught a hold of a house and started to burn one of the homes. The girls couldn’t believe what they saw in front of them; their eyes were in shocked while they heard screaming from the house. The girls were able to call the fire department while watching the father of the house take out his wife and two daughters. The girls were relieved that they were all safe, but had the face of guilt. Ally and her friend’s parents soon heard the noise and ruckus, and had found out what had happened. The parents were disappointed in their girls, and also realized their drunkenness. After apologizing continuously for their wrong actions to their parents and their neighbors, there lives were not so great afterwards. The four girls had to then split the cost in damages from the burnt house that reached up to the thousands. They all worked and paid it off from their own hard work. The girls learned a great lesson from this, and all confessed their sins and wrong doings to God. Their hardships soon ended a couple years later. They all made another promise to each other, which was to keep each other accountable and to make the right decisions that are not self-pleasing but God pleasing.
