I believe this quote is significant because it can relate to many things of and in this world. An example, is the Bible; many people despise it while others use it for guidance and comfort. Bacon's quotes brings out a lot of thought from an individual, he requires the reader to interpret in their own way. This quote can bring out the true nature of a person, and allow them to realize to not be stubborn but wise.
